We architects consider ourselves a creative lot, yet all depends upon our client’s experience being excellent from beginning to end. I learned what is think best for my clients by listening carefully to their needs. Then I help them balance their budgets with their most important preferences by suggesting effective and creative buildable solutions to help produce their wonderful building. Alternately, the most sustainable and quickest completed building could be the one you don’t tear down but one that enables you to renovate it.From the start of this company, 41 years ago, I’ve embraced a collaborative design approach where clients contribute to the design process with me. This is during some creative design meetings. My clients and their stakeholders often participate creatively together. I start designing with them together as a team, considering their input and feedback regarding their programmatic requirements, spatial needs, and preferences. This ensures the design aligns with the client’s mission, operations, and the whole purpose of their building.
Do you think that a public, commercial building ought to be functional, safe, and inspiring? I do. I encourage my clients to also consider their future needs by integrating flexibility into the design of the building and its site design to be able to scale up or lease out in the future.

I can also design using any building materials and building systems. This allows economic choices of the system, depending upon the location, labor costs and current cost of materials. My structural engineers and I will help you select the most economical and efficient way to build.
For my whole career I have integrated healthy climates inside buildings. It also minimizes environmental impact on our planet’s climate by one most useful methods I use, called an insulating exterior envelope. I use excellent and commercially available ones. Insulating envelopes have many economic and comfort benefits. This has made them the lowest-hanging fruit of energy conservation. This augments the passive design, daylighting strategies, heat pumps, and Building Biology. This study’s enabled me to prevent or eliminate EMFs and sick building issues since 1983. Together, these economic choices will make your building a health sanctuary that’s hard to leave.

They also add value and will extend the building’s usefulness while reducing its Life cycle costs.
